BBC Teach offers free classroom resources to schools throughout the UK. This series introduces the satnav and online maps generation all the way through to traditional skills for reading detailed paper maps.

EDINA is a world-class centre for digital expertise based at the University of Edinburgh. It provides maps and geospatial data from Ordnance Survey and other sources for schools, colleges and universities.

Esri UK is the leading provider of geographic information system (GIS) and an Ordnance Survey Partner. ESRI ArcGIS Online for Schools is a free teaching and learning resource.

The Geograph Britain and Ireland project aims to collect a geographically representative photograph for every square kilometre of the British Isles. Over 6 million moderated topographical photographs are available for use in schools.

The Geographical Association is the leading subject association for teachers of geography. They publish a range of journals, publications and training courses.

The Royal Geographical Society supports geography and promotes its value for further study and careers. The society offers teaching resources and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in subject knowledge, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and fieldwork.

Professional accreditation and Geography Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Scholarships are also available from the Royal Geographical Society, along with awards and competitions, and access to a variety of presentations from the society’s Geography Ambassadors.
