Thank you for your email of 1 March 2022, requesting information from Ordnance Survey in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000, as set out in the extract below:
“contract 1 - Telephony/Voice Services (Analog ue, ISDN VOIP, SIP etc) 1.Telephony/Voice Services Provider -Please can you provide me with the name of the supplier for each
contract. 2.Telephony/Voice Services - Contract Renewal Date- please provide day, month and year (month and year are also acceptable). If this is a rolling contract, please provide me with the rolling date of the contract. If there is more than one supplier, please split the renewal dates up into however many suppliers
3.Telephony/Voice Services - Contract Duration- the number of years the contract is for each provider, please also include any contract extensions.
4.Telephony/Voice Services - Type of Lines - Please can you split the type of lines per each supplier? PSTN, Analogue, SIP, ISDN, VOIP
5.Telephony/Voice Services Number of Lines / Channels / SIP Trunks- Please can you split the number of lines per each supplier? SIP trunks/connections, PSTN, Analog ue, ISDN Contract 2 - Incoming and Outgoing of call services.
6.Minutes/Landline Provider- Supplier’s name (NO T Mobiles) if there is no information available, please can you provide further insight into why?
7.Minutes/Landline Contract Renewal Date- please provide day, month and year (month and year is also acceptable). If this is a rolling contract, please provide me with the rolling date of the contract.
8.Minutes Landline Monthly Spend- Monthly average spend on calls for each provider. An estimate or average is acceptable. If SIP services, please provide me with the cost of services per month.
9.Minute’s Landlines Contract Duration- the number of years the contract is for each provider, please also include any contract extensions.
10.Number of Extensions- Please state the number of telephone extensions the organisation currently has. An estimate or average is acceptable. Contract 3 - The organisation's broadband provider.
11.Broadband Provider- Supplier’s name if there is not information available, please can you provide further insight into why?
12.Broadband Renewal Date- please provide day, month, and year (month and year is also acceptable). If this is a rolling contract, please provide me with the rolling date of the contract. If there is more than one supplier, please split the renewal dates up into however many suppliers
13.Broadband Annual Average Spend- Annual average spend for each broadband provider. An estimate or average is acceptable.
Contract 4 - Contracts relating to Wide Area Network [WAN] services, this could also include H SCN network services.
14. WAN Provider- please provide me with the main supplier(s) if there is no information available, please can you provide further insight into why?
15.WAN Contract Renewal Date- please provide day, month, and year (month and year are also acceptable). If this is a rolling contract, please provide me with the rolling date of the contract. If there is more than one supplier, please split the renewal dates up into however many suppliers
16.Contract Description: Please can you provide me with a brief description for each contract
17.The number of sites: Please state the number of sites the WAN covers. Approx. will do.
18. WAN Annual Average Spend- Annual average spend for each WAN provider. An estimate or average is acceptable.
19.For each WAN contract can you please provide me with information on how this was procured, especially around those procurement that used frameworks, please provide me with the framework reference.
20.Internal Contact: please can you send me their full contact details including contact number and email and job title for all the contracts above.”
Our response
I confirm that Ordnance Survey does hold some of the information you have requested.  Where the information is not held or exempt from disclosure this is stated. 
A copy of the information, which can be disclosed, is attached in the spreadsheet (xlsx).
The information you requested relating to the full contact details for the person responsible for the contract is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) (personal information) of the FOI Act, as the information constitutes personal data. Section 40(2) provides that personal data is exempt information if one of the conditions set out in section 40(3) is satisfied. In our view, disclosure of this information would breach the data protection principles contained in the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act 2018.
In reaching this decision, we have particularly considered:
- the reasonable expectations of the employees: given their positions, Ordnance Survey considered that none of the individuals would have a reasonable expectation that their personal data would be disclosed;
- the consequences of disclosure; and
- any legitimate public interest in disclosure.
Section 40(2) is an absolute exemption and therefore not subject to the public interest test.
However, under the duty to provide information and assistance in accordance with section 16 of FOIA, we can provide the following information which may assist you in this matter.

Internal review
Your enquiry has been processed according to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000. If you are unhappy with our response, you may request an internal review with our Internal Review Officer by contacting them, within two months of receipt of our final response to your Freedom of Information (FOI) request, as follows:

- Failed to respond to your request within the time limits (normally 20 working days)

The Internal Review Officer will not have been involved in the original decision. They will conduct an independent internal review and will inform you of the outcome of the review normally within 20 working days, but exceptionally within 40 working days, in line with the Information Commissioner’s guidance.
The Internal Review Officer will either: uphold the original decision, provide an additional explanation of the exemption/s applied or release further information, if it is considered appropriate to do so.

If, following the outcome of the internal review you remain unhappy with our response, you may raise an appeal, within three months of receiving our response, with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
