OS Match & Cleanse API is not designed for bulk matching, although it can handle small batches. If you are doing this, the API throttle should be taken into consideration. If bulk matching is something you would like to do in large quantities, please get in touch to discuss options.
OS Match & Cleanse API won’t find general areas (such as ‘forest’). For this requirement we recommend you use OS Names API.
Each address record contains geographic co-ordinates meaning that you can position it accurately on a map. They also contain the Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) so you can cross reference the results with other datasets and ensure consistency.
